It doesn’t take much browsing of the business blogs to discover that the buzz these days is about effective branding, but just because they passed on before the branding craze doesn’t mean former U.S. presidents shouldn’t get in on the action.

Meg Jannott is giving them their due on her Tumblr Branding the Presidents of the United States with a new submission every day and they might just tempt you to crack open a textbook or at least dash over to Wikipedia to brush up on your American history.

Entrevistamos a The Walkmen y Twin Shadow

Most of us feel a little guilty when we indulge in a cupcake craving but the guilt of a six-dollar dessert is nothing compared to dropping a grand for a truly golden treat.

Bloomsbury’s Cupcakes at Dubai Mall unveiled the world’s most expensive cupcake at their opening, made with “…premium Amedei Porcelana chocolate and premium Ugandan vanilla beans and covered in 23-carat edible gold sheets.” It’s also dusted with edible gold dust, just in case the rest of the ingredients left anything to be desired.

Many are disgusted with the masterpiece it took Shafeena Yusuff Ali five weeks to create, but if one considers it a piece of art, heck, it’s a bargain.

Hamster jeans make the fashion gods weep

Fashionistas are often strange animals, but the one animal we’d never thought we’d see them embrace was a hamster, much less two. Alas, that appears to be the case in Japan.

These, um, unique jeans from Ito Manufacturing feature two painted hamsters making a run for the waistline and plenty of other cute and cuddly little details like teddy bear rivets and floral buttons, which might explain the approximately $170 price tag, but we’d happily pay that much to not see these make the jump across the Pacific pond.
