We’ve all turned a few houses upside down in our times, at least figuratively speaking, but Polish architects have turned that idea on its head and then back on its feet again to create a new tourist attraction in Terfens, Austria.

Irek Glowacki and Marek Rozhanski went so far as to furnish the house, including a classic VW Bug, all in keeping with the upside down theme. The attraction opened earlier this month for tourists, but we’re not so sure how we’d feel about letting the little ones pose under the car.

We’re pretty sure Wonder Woman pumps iron when she’s not womanning the invisible jet, but if you’re lacking the extra time to get to the gym but need a little boost, why not put some extra pump in your pumps with a Wonder Woman makeover.

It’s the perfect accessory for jazzing up a boring work wardrobe or going to the wedding of an ex; fear not the broken copy machine or the broken heart thanks to this tutorial from Emily at Mad Art Lab.

Rather than mate through traditional means, Xylocoris flavipes uses its razor-sharp private parts to brutally impregnate females

Some insects — like the female praying mantis — are known to devour puny male partners soon after mating. But that seems almost tame compared to the violent copulation techniques employed by Xylocoris flavipes, more commonly known as the warehouse pirate bug. A male on the prowl comes equipped with a spiny "dagger penis," which the bug uses to forcibly stab its way into a female's abdomen, ejaculating once inside.

Now, a new Swedish study has shed more light on the ramifications of this unusual reproduction technique. Here, a brief guide to the six-legged critter's scary mating ritual:

A 1.5 metric ton block of engraved limestone constitutes the earliest evidence of wall art, report anthropologists working in southern France.

“Early Aurignacian humans functioned, more or less, like humans today,” explains New York University anthropology professor Randall White, one of the study’s co-authors. “They had relatively complex social identities communicated through personal ornamentation, and they practiced sculpture and graphic arts.”
