We’ve seen jumping robots, droning robots and now, robots that can climb up your clothing to whisper sweet nothings in your ear thanks to the ingenuity of a team from the Chinese Academy of Science. You might be wondering why this was a technical hurdle that begged to be jumped and they have a number of answers to that question: Its creators think that the Clothbot could be the foundation for small robotic pets that could climb on us, or the slightly more ridiculous idea of a robotic cellphone which could saddle itself on your shoulder to free your hands – guess they never heard of a Bluetooth headset. They also suggest the idea of robotic “body inspection.” Um, no thanks… We’ll have to agree with the commentary of the folks over at Technabob, but if they could be used to clean the curtains, that wouldn’t be so bad.
