YouTube comments are often considered the dregs of the internet. Every now and then, though, a YouTube commenter gives us internet gold. The Chive compiles twenty-three examples. Here are a few samples:

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air may have aired its last new episode way back in 1996, but that doesn’t mean the theme song hasn’t been burned onto our brains, a fact that also apparently applies to Will Smith.

When Smith visited the BBC’s The Graham Norton Show, the audience got to relive old times with the Fresh Prince himself.

We’ve seen jumping robots, droning robots and now, robots that can climb up your clothing to whisper sweet nothings in your ear thanks to the ingenuity of a team from the Chinese Academy of Science.

You might be wondering why this was a technical hurdle that begged to be jumped and they have a number of answers to that question:

Its creators think that the Clothbot could be the foundation for small robotic pets that could climb on us, or the slightly more ridiculous idea of a robotic cellphone which could saddle itself on your shoulder to free your hands – guess they never heard of a Bluetooth headset. They also suggest the idea of robotic “body inspection.” Um, no thanks…

We’ll have to agree with the commentary of the folks over at Technabob, but if they could be used to clean the curtains, that wouldn’t be so bad.

If there’s one culture that consistently brings beauty and style into every nook and cranny of existence, it’s Japan, and perhaps nothing proves the point more than this collection of Japanese manhole covers brought to you courtesy of Booooooom.

A sewer never seemed so magical.

David's friends thought it would be a good birthday gift to help him with his lady scoring game by making business cards featuring lyrics from catchy pop tune "Call Me Maybe." The whole thing backfired just a smidgen when one of David's friends posted the full-card (black boxes not included) on Facebook. Oops! Happy Birthday, David!

Have lathe, will drink! (But only after using said lathe.)

It took Hifijohn three tries to successfully transform this jawbreaker into one very chic shot glass, but we think you’ll agree, it was well worth the effort.
