It’s that time of year again, when tax professionals disappear for several weeks and the kids are warned not to go near the desk where taxes are being prepared or face dire consequences.
Though it appears the tie between patriotism and paying income taxes has been severed in the popular imagination to a certain degree, in 1943 the US Treasury Department tapped celebrity Donald Duck to send their message far and wide.
By the end, though, you’re not sure whether to stand up and start cheering or hide under the nearest table (like the one you’re preparing taxes on).
